We believe our center to be unique because of its policy, curriculum, staff, family relationships and “heart”. Our center becomes a second home to the children and our dedicated employees, creating an extended family. The children learn about themselves and the world around them when we apply our creative and structured lesson plans to their daily schedule. Parents and children maintain a highly valued personal relationship with supervisors and teachers. We truly understand the importance of our influence and role in the children’s daily lives. We adapt our techniques to each child’s individual needs because we also understand that your child is one of a kind, and so is our center. We love what we do!
Hi, I'm Tamara Rohrbach, the director of the Maple Valley center. I'm married, and the proud mother of two sons. I've been involved in the lives of young children for the past 15 years. My education includes two years of early childhood education at Yakima Valley Community College and my associate degree in child development.
I began my career as a teaching assistant in 1980 at a small childcare center. I moved around my first four years, trying to get a feel for who I was and what I expected out of my career choice. In 1985 I went to work for Head Start. This was a valuable and rewarding decision. I started attending college and gettting a true understanding of what it meant to work with young children, and what I truly had to offer. I advanced very quickly into a lead position and stayed with Head Start the next five years. I left Head Start when my husband was offered a great position with Qwest in Seattle, Washington. I then took a job at Kid's Country®, where I have enjoyed several wonderful years.
Hi, my name is Jenny Bellmore. I am married and have two children. I graduated from Tahoma High School in 1990. I then completed an associate of arts degree in general studies. In June 2000, I started my career with children at the Issaquah Kid’s Country®, working with toddlers and preschoolers. In April of 2002 I received my child development associate’s certificate and became the Program Supervisor at Issaquah. My transfer to Program Supervisor enables me to have a significant impact on the center, staff and families here in Maple Valley.
